bistro [bis-troh]

originally Parisian slang for

"little wineshop or restaurant"

Twisted Cork Bistro, a popular

Omaha restaurant serving local,

natural food, handcrafted ales,

spirits plus Pacific Northwest wines.

Originally from Seattle, we made a decision to come east to explore a dream.  We arrived in Omaha, late 2007 to create a "little wine restaurant", and be closer to Laura's family.

Our bistro was opened in March 2008, serving lunches only.

Dinner service, followed six months later. We created recipes that feature some of our favorite Northwest products and married them with renowned goods of the Heartland.
